Thanksgiving Day Outfit Ideas

Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? I don’t know how you spend it but we’re usually laid back, watching football, eating entirely too much food and enjoying the company of family. I always prefer to wear a loose fitting outfit on Thanksgiving because….I like to eat 🙂 Is it bad that I look forward to Thanksgiving because I’m a total foodie? lol. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to put together a few outfits depending on how you plan to spend your Thanksgiving. Because let’s be real – who feels like worrying about their outfit when you can be thinking about all those pies you’re going to devour 🙂

We will be at a quiet family get together so I’ll be dressing pretty casual. I haven’t decided exactly what I’m going to wear yet but I’m thinking it will be something along the lines of the outfit in this first look.

Look No. 1 | A Casual Friendsgiving (Thanksgiving)

I don’t know about you but I’m happy I get to dress casual on Thanksgiving. (food baby much?) We always seem to be relaxing and hanging on the couch while the kids play (aka fight over their toys) so it’s nice to be comfortable. I found this wrap sweater and thought it would be perfect for a day of lounging. I already had a striped tunic in my closet but it gives a totally different look just by throwing the wrap on top. I found a striped tee that I actually like better than mine and it’c currently on sale for $10. My shoes are from last year as well but I’ve linked similar ones here, here and here. This bag is my go-to black bag and the newer version is on sale right now for 40% off!

Look No. 2 | Dressed Up & Ready To Party

One of my favorite things about fall/winter fashion is faux leather leggings. You either love them or you hate them and I am definitely loving them. I wear these with slip on sneakers and sweaters in winter but they’re so easy to dress up, too. This outfit could even be worn with over the knee boots but I opted for something a little different. I don’t get to wear pumps all that often (mom life at it’s finest) so I decided to wear them with this outfit. Shocker, there’s my favorite black bag again 🙂 This jacket is also 40% off through today. It comes in black and grey and is also available in petite sizes. My top is no longer available but I’ve linked others that would also work with this outfit here, here, and here.

Look No. 3 | Chic & Comfortable

You might recognize this dress from one of my recent posts. I loved it so much I got it in a second color 🙂 It’s just so versatile I feel like everyone really should have something like it in their closet. You could even wear this dress with converse if you plan to have a Thanksgiving where you’ll be outside playing with the kids or heading to a football game. This color is the “Wild Ginger” but it comes in 7 colors so you’re bound to find one that you like. My booties are one of my favorite recent purchases. They run true to size and go with EVERYTHING! They have been really popular so if they sell out I’m also linking some others that would work here, here, and here. My button-up comes in so many different colors and variations and they’re having a 40% off sale right now.

I hope this makes choosing an outfit for Thanksgiving less stressful for you! If you have any other ideas for outfits I’d love to see them!
