Chicwish Review + Outfit Try-On
Have you been wondering if Chicwish is legit? If so, I’m dishing all the details in this blog post on shopping the popular online store, PLUS a try-on of 30+ outfits from the Chicwish site.
I came across Chicwish a few years ago when one of my favorite bloggers shared a sweater from the site. I fell in love with it and was eager to try the clothes myself, but I had some reservations.
I now have a ton of Chicwish items and LOTS of experience with their pieces, and I know many people have questions about shopping there.
So, without wasting any time, let’s get into this honest Chicwish Review.
Chicwish Review
What is Chicwish?
Chicwish is an online shopping destination for fun, trendy clothing. Their original idea was to cater to a younger generation, but now they now offer much more than that.
At Chicwish you’ll find chic, vintage-inspired pieces with lots of girly items at pretty affordable prices such as:
- chiffon skirts
- tulle skirts
- coordinating sets
- crop tops
- midi skirts
and much more.
Chicwish has something for almost every occasion and at just about every price point.
First, we’ll chat about some of the items I’ve purchased from the online retailer and later I’ll get into all the important questions and answers.
Here are a few Chicwish items/outfits
Romper (wearing a medium) | Shoes | Bag
The first time I ordered from Chicwish I got this romper. I sized up to a medium for the inseam in this because I have an extremely long torso and the fit is perfect.
The quality is great and I love it for a summer night because it’s lightweight.
I often find that rompers in this type of material tend to be sheer but this one isn’t because there are several layers. There is also a clasp in the front so that you don’t have to worry about your chest hanging out if you bend over.
Off Shoulder Knit Sweater & Skirt Set | Purse (similar)
Here’s another item from my first order at Chicwish. As of right now, this set is unavailable and I am kicking myself for not grabbing it in another color.
It is incredible! Very soft, not itchy, and just the right amount of sexiness.
This sweater is so cute for Valentine’s Day. I wore it for my daughter’s party at school and it was the perfect festive piece without being overboard. It’s good quality and comfortable.
Open Front Wool Blend Coat | Boots
Coat/Cardigan? Could be both! I love it paired with all-black for a chic, classic look. It’s much better quality than I was expecting and it’s so versatile.
You can easily wear this with a cute joggers set but it also pairs beautifully with jeans and a cami for date night.
Floral Skort & Blouse Set (Wearing a small)
This floral skort and blouse set is exactly what comes to mind when I think of the type of clothes Chicwish offers.
Sadly, this set is no longer available, but I had to share it as it’s one of my favorite pieces from the site. I’m typically a size 4 in bottoms so this set fits true to size. Who knows, maybe they’ll bring it back?!
I’m not typically a fan of maxi skirts and dresses, but here’s a style I really, really love. The print on this dress is absolutely gorgeous, it’s lightweight, and the adjustable tie around the waist gives a beautiful shape.
I highly recommend this Chicwish dress!
Romper (Wearing a small) | Purse
I love this romper too, but I should have grabbed a medium for the inseam. I find that most Chicwish pieces run true to size, but if you have a long torso size up in this one.
Again, this romper isn’t see-through because there are enough layers and it also has a clasp at the top for the chest.
Sweater (similar)| Skirt | Boots (similar)
I loved this skirt so much I got it in 2 colors. It is one of my all time favorite Chicwish skirts. The fabric is incredibly soft while also being stretchy.
It goes so well with a sweater and over-the-knee boots, but would also work well with heels and a blouse. I really hope they bring these back because I’ll be going back for more colors.

Same skirt, different color, I paired it with this crop-ish sweater so that I could tuck it in without too much bulk and it worked perfectly.
The sweater is actually considered off-shoulder, but I have broad shoulders and it CLEARLY is not off-shoulder for me lol.
Jacket | Boots (similar) | Leggings
I had my eye on this jacket for SO LONG. If you’re on social media, you’ve probably seen it a few times before yourself.
It’s the perfect classy, yet functional item. I love it paired with leggings and over-the-knee boots but I’ve actually seen people wear it as a dress, too.
The fully removable/adjustable tie around the waist gives your body shape and it can be adjusted to your needs/liking. It has pockets and a wide, turned-down shawl collar.
It’s also fully lined and the wool/polyester blend is enough to keep you warm. I also grabbed this one in another color because I loved it so much.
Jacket | Boots | Purse (similar) | Sunnies
Same jacket, different color/print! These boots aren’t from Chicwish, but I highly recommend them. I have them in 3 colors now and they’re all still in excellent condition, even after much wear.
The block heel isn’t too high and they actually stay up without having to constantly pull them up all day long.
I hesitated on purchasing them because of the sizing, but I’m really glad I pulled the trigger. For reference, I am a size 7.5 and the size 38 fits me perfectly.
Tweed Skirt | Cami (similar) | Heels | Purse (similar)
This is such a beautiful skirt. I was so happy with the quality and that it was true to the sizing chart.
I got lots of compliments on it and it’s a bit unique from any of the other mini skirts I have.
Sweater Dress | Purse (similar)
This dress runs on the a little bit on the short side, but it is such good quality. It’s stretchy and great for winter because it’s pretty thick.
I hardly ever wear purple, but I thought this sweater was so chic. It’s very light and because of the crochet fabric, it’s see-through.
I recommend wearing it with a nude bra or cami underneath. The only thing that did bother me a bit is that it is quite itchy.
Crisscross Ribbed Knit Crop Sweater (wearing a small) | Boots
I grabbed this sweater to wear as part of a casual, yet put-together outfit. It looks great with over-the-knee boots but I think it would work well with a leather miniskirt as well. It’s very good quality.
These boots are the same ones I shared earlier in this post, just in a different color.
Bustier Top & Skirt (wearing a small)
This set… OBSESSED. I just think this outfit is everything… sexy but not too revealing, comfortable, elegant, and the perfect fit.
Obviously, it’s not an everyday outfit, but it is great for a vacation, summer party, or special event. It also comes in 2 other colors as well.
Coy Ribbed Turtleneck (wearing a small) | Leggings | Boots | Jacket
If you’re not into turtlenecks, I get it. My sister teases me and say’s I’m a granny but I love them lol. NJ winters are freezing so if it keeps me warm, I’m wearing it.
This sweater is great because it works for leggings, and who doesn’t love leggings?! If you’re a bit taller, I’d recommend sizing up if you want it to cover the buns. For reference, I’m 5’4″.
Chiffon Dolly Top (wearing a medium)
I grabbed this top in a medium because I have broad shoulders and I wanted to wear it off the shoulder, but as you can see, it’s still not big enough for me to do that lol.
It does run true to size per the size chart though, so I would recommend sticking to your normal size unless you want it off the shoulder.
Skater Dress (Wearing a small)
This dress is AMAZING quality. The attention to detail is just so spot on.
The lace design in the front is beautifully made and the material is very thick and stretchy (I find much of Chicwish’s items are made of this material).
Chicwish Reviews From BBB
If you take a look at Chicwish on the BBB website, you’ll see that they’re not accredited and also have a score of F, which is not a good thing. However, I’m a bit confused by this as Chicwish Reviews show 24 5-star (out of 5 stars) ratings on the BBB site.
All of the reviews state that the quality of the clothes they received is amazing and the customer service was excellent.
All of the (16) negative reviews are “unavailable” so it is hard to tell what these customers had issues with (or at least that’s what I’m seeing).
Adult Pink Cardigan | Kids Pink Cardigan | Adult Ivory Cardigan | Kids Ivory Cardigan
#Twinning. If you have a mini that loves to match you, these sweaters are great! The kid’s version actually has a clasp at the top, the adult size does not.
These are heavy and bulky, perfect for winter, or a fun photo shoot. To be honest, I was sort of expecting some loose threads, etc., but these are extremely high quality.
Update: We’ve had these for 4 years now and they still look brand new.
Bowknot Pleated Skirt (wearing a small) | Sweater (wearing a small)
I stepped out of my comfort zone with this skirt when I placed my second order, but I’m glad I did. If you’re looking for an elegant, comfortable skirt, with excellent quality, this is it.
It does run on the bigger side though. I should have grabbed it in size xs, which I hardly ever wear.
I love it paired with this sweater because the sweater is on the shorter side so it tucks in nicely. Same heels as above!
How beautiful is this dress? I’m not typically a maxi dress kind of girl because I find that they swallow my body, but this one was too pretty to pass up.
Bonus point because there’s a matching kids dress.
This dress is insanely gorgeous. My only complaint is that it’s SUPER short. I know it doesn’t look like it, but that’s because the overlay is longer than the liner.
The liner barely covers my cheeks and I’m 5’4″. I recommend wearing a pair of white bike shorts under this for added coverage. Otherwise, it’s beautiful.
I had my eye on this skirt for probably a year before I went for it. The hi-lo hem and ruffle detail make it a stand-out piece of clothing and paired with this top, it is the perfect summer or special occasion outfit.
I find that the skirt runs slightly large. I’m wearing a small and it’s a bit big on me.
Knitted Open Coat (wearing a small) | heels | cami (similar)
Another amazing find from Chicwish. This coat is lightweight and I personally love it as a cardigan over a simple white cami.
The folded cuffs and wide lapels give it a chic yet casual look that takes any basic outfit up a notch.
Knit Cape Sweater | Booties (similar)
I had been seeing this sweater for like 1-2 years all over Instagram and really loved the look. However, I wasn’t thrilled with the fit of this.
I didn’t like how the armholes were wide open and when I lifted my arms the whole sweater came up.
I just didn’t find it to be very comfortable for me. The material is great, I just wasn’t a fan of the fit.
I think cardigans are great for just about any season so admittedly, I probably have way more than I will ever need. I loved the color of this one and this oversized fit.
I was confused at first about how to put this cardigan on lol. If it weren’t for the pockets, I would have been lost.
I like the oversized fit and how you can pair it in several ways. Because it’s an oversized fit, it would work well on just about any body shape.
Floral Chiffon Top (wearing size s)
I get a lot of compliments on this top every time I wear it. The neck and wrists are elastic and the stop itself is very lightweight. The design is beautiful and the quality is great.
Crochet cami crop top (wearing a small)
As mentioned earlier, I have a very long torso, so I don’t think this top fits as short on most people as it does on me. If you’re into girly pieces, this top is for you. Even though there is a lot of crochet, this top is also of great quality.
This was another dress that I loved but just found it to be too short for me. I’m 5’4″ and if I raised my arms, my whole arse would be out. It would be cute with leggings though.
Leopard Mini Skirt | Sweater (similar) | Booties
Another Chicwish purchase I absolutely love. The quality of this skirt is great and it’s sexy without being too revealing.
It pairs great with a sweater but also looks nice with a tank top and heels.
If it’s leopard and oversized, I’M BUYIN’. This sweater again is of the same stretchy, yet thick fabric that many Chicwish items are made of.
It’s very high quality and so comfortable. There is ribbing around the bottom for shape just like around the wrists.
I strayed a little from my usual style on this one, but really glad I did. This top is such a great piece. It’s another blouse that works well in summer even though it’s long sleeves, because of the light material.
Chicwish Reward Program
Chicwish also has a reward program where you earn 1 point per dollar spent. For every 10 points earned, you receive $1 off. You can use Chicwish points towards your next purchase.

Is Chicwish Ethical?
Are the employees treated properly and paid fairly at Chicwish? That I don’t know. Of course, I’d like to think so, but if you have any information that maybe I don’t please, by all means, feel free to share.
Where is Chicwish Shipped From?
Chicwish items ship from the United States, UK, Belgium, and/or China. The location of the shipment depends on where the item ordered is currently in stock.
Is Chicwish Legit?
From my personal experience, yes Chicwish is legit. As you can see, I now own MANY items from the site and haven’t had any major problems with any of the pieces I’ve received.
Is Chicwish Better Than Shein?
100% yes, but of course, this is a personal opinion. I find that the fit of Chicwish items is true to US sizing and I hardly ever have to resort to the size guide.
I’ve seen other Chicwish reviews that say the sizing is off, but I have yet to experience that (and I have a TON of Chicwish items).
The quality of Chicwish clothing is also MUCH more consistent and reliable. I don’t consider Chicwish to be fast-fashion like Shein.
Does Chicwish Accept Paypal?
Yes. Chicwish takes payment via Paypal and I highly recommend going this route if you’re concerned about receiving your products.
Paypal is typically really good about working with you in these types of instances (or at least that is my experience) and you can pay via Paypal with your credit card if you prefer.
Is Chicwish Good Quality?
I couldn’t do a Chicwish review without talking about the quality of their products. From my experience, Chicwish IS good quality.
I have many pieces from the site and have yet to have any that are poor quality. There have been a few I didn’t like, but those items I didn’t prefer simply because of the fit.
The majority of the Chicwish pieces I have are made from high quality, durable fabrics that are comfortable and hold up well in the wash.
What is the Chicwish Return Policy?
The Chicwish return process is quite simple. Chicwish items can be returned for a full refund within 30 days from the date you received them.
You should receive your refund to your original method of payment within 7-10 days once they receive your package (per their website). Beyond the 30 day
Chicwish does not offer free returns and actually the more items you return, the more they charge you in shipping.
This is interesting as I’ve never seen another retailer do this. However, if you choose to receive a store credit instead of a refund there is no return shipping fee.
How Do I Return Something To Chicwish?
Chicwish returns are simple. You log into your account and request a return.
Additionally, if you receive a defective Chicwish item, just reach out to customer service. They will issue you a new product and you won’t have to send the defective one back.
How Long Does Chicwish Take To Deliver?
The shipping time will vary based on the option you choose when placing your Chicwish order. Here are the 3 shipping options available:
1.) Free Shipping which arrives within 9-12 days once shipped.
2.) USPS Ground Shipping for $3.90 which arrives within 8-9 days once shipped.
3.)DHL EXPRESS Shipping for $25 which arrives within 4-6 days once shipped.
I’ve personally never had Chicwish deliveries extend several weeks as you might find with Zaful, Shein, Romwe, etc., and it seems as though this is the norm.
If you head over to TrustPilot, you’ll see that Chicwish has an excellent rating of 4.5 (out of 5), with over 1,575 reviews.
Additionally, Chicwish offers shipping insurance for $1.99. In the event your package gets lost or damaged, Chicwish will immediately send out a new package for you.
Overall Thoughts
I’ve read other Chicwish reviews that don’t recommend shopping on the site, but I disagree. I DO recommend shopping at Chicwish. The quality of clothing is much better than what I originally expected.
If you’re looking for quality, girly, vintage-inspired looks that won’t cost a fortune, Chicwish definitely has great options and I’ve always had a positive experience shopping the site.
