Swimsuit season is almost here and this Cupshe review has all the deets you need!

If you’ve ever googled affordable swimwear, chances are you’ve seen an ad for Cupshe and the insanely cheap swimsuits they have to offer.

I didn’t notice it but over the years I’ve actually purchased many different Cupshe swimsuits on Amazon not even realizing what brand they were.

This year I did the exact same thing, so I figured it was time to spill the tea.

In this post, I’m dishing all the details on the brand plus my experiences with 13 Cupshe swimsuits including bikini sets and one-piece swimsuits.

From sizing to the shipping process, the return policy, and more, we’re covering it all.

Cupshe Review

What is Cupshe?

Cupshe is a fast-fashion swimsuit brand that is extremely popular for offering affordable prices (think under $30) on super cute statement swimsuits.

They got their start in June 2015 and by June 2016 had over 1 million customers worldwide.

If you happen to have an Amazon obsession as I do, it’s almost a guarantee you’ve seen a Cupshe swimsuit floating around. Cupshe is HUGE on Amazon.

Aside from the fact that Cupshe offers hundreds, if not thousands of trendy swimsuits in all different styles, they also come in sizes up to 4X.

Their wide variety of sizes, along with their reasonable prices have made them incredibly popular with many women across the world.

I grabbed this classic black swimsuit because it is one of the brand’s best sellers and the reviews were very promising.

I have a very long torso, which makes finding one-piece swimsuits that fit well challenging. However, this suit is a total win.

Although it has a deep-v neckline, it doesn’t pucker because the stitching along the chest is amazing.

It has a ton of ruching down the front which makes it super flattering and the straps are adjustable.

It also comes in a ton of different colors.

I sized up for my long torso, but I recommend getting your normal size if you don’t have that issue.

Overall Thoughts: Amazing. Highly recommend!

Although this suit is a one-piece I found it to be on the sexier side, so I wanted to give it a try.

While it’s comfortable, it didn’t work for me.

Again, I sized up for the inseam, but the stitching on the bust wasn’t stretchy enough, so every time I sat or bent over, it came completely off my chest.

Even if I didn’t size up, I know that the bust just wouldn’t have worked.

While the cut is adorable, this suit was returned due to the poor fit.

Overall Thoughts: I don’t think the fit would work even if I went down a size. Pass.

Here’s another one of their latest styles I wanted to love but had to return. I sized up in this for the inseam again, but it just resulted in way too much fabric around the midsection.

While it didn’t work for me, I think it would be great for someone who doesn’t have a mile-long torso.

I love the mesh panel detailing and ruching. It takes it from a boring basic one-piece to a little bit sexier.

This suit also has adjustable straps and plenty of support/coverage in the bust area (I’m a 32D).

Overall Thoughts: Good if you don’t have a long torso. Pass if you do.

Floral Strappy Back Bikini (Wearing A Medium)

High Waisted Strappy Back Bikini

This Cupshe swimsuit is one of the best styles for beach or pool days with kids.

The high-waisted bottoms don’t have that annoying too-tight elastic around the waist that digs in and the cups in the top actually stay put.

Another great thing I love about this suit is that it’s strappy from the top to the bottom in the back, so you can adjust it according to your comfort and it has removable pads.

It’s extremely comfortable, a perfect fit as per the size guide, and there’s no way a toddler can pull this suit off, yet somehow, it’s still moderately sexy

It’s the perfect swimsuit if you plan to chase your kids around because you won’t have to worry about spillage, etc. Win-win.

Overall thoughts: Fits true to size, is very comfortable, great for wearing around kids, highly recommend it.

I always nursed our kids and if you’ve done that before, you know what nursing boobs are like #heavyAF.

The top on this swimsuit is an adjustable tie-neck so you can make it as loose or tight as you need to.

There is also enough shape to the chest that your boobs don’t spill out whenever you bend over.

I give this one a 10/10 and everyone I know who purchased this suit has said the same.

While the top of this suit is amazing the ruching on the belly just might be the best part.

It is incredibly flattering and very comfortable.

In my opinion, this is one of the best Cupshe styles in terms of comfort and design.

It runs true to size, but I size up in one-piece swimsuits for my long torso.

Overall thoughts : fits true to size, extremely comfortable, great for wearing around kids, great for postpartum, highly recommend.

One-Piece Solid Swimsuit (wearing a medium)

Wrap-Front One Piece Swimsuit

I VERY reluctantly had to send this one piece back. It was so gorgeous and very comfortable but the length was just too short for a long torso.

I was really disappointed.

This swimsuit is great for someone who isn’t comfortable in a bikini but still wants a bit of sexiness.

The plunging neckline definitely gives that and I would imagine this side tie would be flattering on almost any body type.

Overall thoughts: good quality and comfortable, but it’s too short for a very long torso. If you have an average-length torso, I definitely recommend it.

Don’t mind the fact that my lower stomach is so pale.

I wear high-waisted bathing suits 95% of the time so that part of my stomach never sees the sun LOL.

I wanted to give this Cupshe Bikini a try because I really loved the style of the top and the print of the bottoms.

It is of good quality and fits true to size.

The top has a tie-down back so you can adjust it to make it snugger if needed. It’s also very comfortable.

The bottoms fit well but they are definitely a low/mid-rise on someone with a long torso.

If you have an average-length torso, these bottoms will fit more like a high waist than they do on me.

It’s good quality, not see-through, and doesn’t have that uncomfortable elastic that cheaper bathing suits often have.

Overall thoughts: I recommend this bathing suit. Good quality, not too cheeky, true to size, pretty color.

High Waisted Twist Up Bathing Suit

I absolutely loved this Cupshe swimsuit, the style, color, fit, everything! ….until I went into the water.

I took this swimsuit on an overnight trip with my husband and after going in the (chlorinated) pool, the color from the top COMPLETELY BLED.

It turned into this pale sea-foam green with light pink seams.

I’m not sure if it was noticeable at the pool as I had a few too many adult beverages, but my guess would be it was.

I can just envision a sea of turquoise water around me as I sat in the pool sipping my pina colada LOL.

As soon as I took it off I had to do a double-take.

It was SO NOTICEABLE. REAL BAD.

What a disappointment.

If you watched my Instagram try-on with this bathing suit you know how excited I was about it.

I can honestly say this was my favorite Cupshe Swimsuit I ever bought until this happened.

This was a first for me and such a letdown.

Overall thoughts: Do not recommend due to bleeding bikini top.

Printed One-Piece Swimsuit (wearing a medium)

Printed One-Piece Swimsuit

Here’s a one-piece Cupshe swimsuit I purchased in my first order from Cupshe shortly after having baby no. 3.

Sorry, the photo isn’t the best quality, but I didn’t intend to use this for anything other than a quick share to Instagram stories.

This suit was of good quality and the design was just as pictured in their stock photo.

Sadly, I had to return it because the torso just wasn’t long enough for me.

I have an extremely long torso so I have a really hard time finding one-piece bathing suits that fit.

If you have an average-length torso, I’d say stick to your normal size and this one would probably fit just fine.

Overall thoughts: Great design, good quality, but length is too short for a long torso. If you have an average torso, I recommend it.

High Waisted Ruffle Bikini

Sorry for another poor photo, but this one was also originally only meant for a quick Instagram story share.

I really loved the design and style of this swimsuit, but the top just didn’t have enough support (I’m a 32D).

If you have a small bust this would probably work great.

I think this bikini top would work better for someone with a small chest.

The top runs a bit small and since you can’t mix and match, it’s a no-go for big boobs.

Additionally, if you’re nursing, your boobs will probably be way too heavy for this suit to give you any support whatsoever.

Overall thoughts: Super cute design, but the top has no support so I only recommend this swimsuit if you have a small chest.

Off Shoulder One Piece Swimsuit

Another Cupshe swimsuit I was annoyed I had to return.

I REALLY wanted this suit to work but thanks once again to my long torso, it was a no-go.

It did run true to size and was good quality, but the torso was just way too short for me.

The kimono/cover-up though – I highly recommend.

It’s one size fits all and works great as both a swimsuit cover-up or styled with a tank and shorts/jeans.

Overall thoughts: Recommend if you don’t have a long torso.

woman in high waisted cupshe bikini

Falbala Design Bikini (wearing a medium)

This bikini has over 2,600 4.5-star reviews so I was really eager to try it for myself. Sadly, it was another no-go.

I actually really loved the bottoms.

They have cinching on the sides, ruching in the front, and the rise was perfect for a long torso.

However, The top runs really big and I found the ruffles to be pretty annoying and unflattering.

Overall thoughts: The bottoms are great but the top is too big. Unless you order 2 different sizes to mix and match, I’d say pass on this one.

This tropical leaf one-piece Cupshe bathing suit has such a beautiful print! I’m a big fan of bustier tops because they’re just so flattering on every body type. This suit also has adjustable straps and it comes in sizes xxs-xxl.

FAQs

Is Cupshe legit?

Yes. Cupshe is 100% legit.

How fast does Cupshe ship?

As mentioned earlier, if you order a Cupshe bathing suit from Amazon, they are often available via Amazon Prime.

In my opinion, shopping Cupshe swimwear via Amazon is hands-down the best way.

However, there are styles that aren’t available with prime and almost all of those say shipping/delivery can be up to 2 months.

Just make sure you pay attention to the shipping and return shipping options.

Cupshe’s website has a tiered shipping setup. If you’re ordering from/shipping to the US and your order is over $15, shipping is free and delivery time is 6-9 business days.

There are numerous other delivery options depending on how much you spend and how quickly you want your items.

Is Cupshe legit?

With all these cheap, fast-fashion brands popping up on our newsfeeds all of a sudden, it’s hard to know which ones are legit and which are scams.

I’m happy to say that yes, Cupshe is legit and I know this from personal experience.

Cupshe is a reputable site however, I prefer (and recommend) to shop their bathing suits via Amazon Prime for 3 reasons.

  1. Free shipping
  2. Free return shipping
  3. Customer service

I’ve never ordered from the Cupshe site itself, I’ve only ordered their swimsuits from Amazon and I highly recommend you do the same.

Amazon provides a full refund almost immediately after you’ve dropped your item off at the carrier of your choosing.

I do all my Amazon returns at Whole Foods which is 6 minutes from my house. Usually, by the time I get home, I already have my refund.

Finding exact details about the company has proven to be a bit difficult, but it seems as though its headquarters is based in China.

You can order off the Cupshe website with delivery to the United States.

However, if you happen to have a problem with an order not being received I would imagine tracking it down would be difficult if it did indeed come from overseas.

If you happen to have a problem with an order not being received, I would imagine tracking it down would be difficult if it did indeed come from overseas.

I’ve had this happen several times with other companies and it was a hassle getting it taken care of (if it all).

However, if you shop Cupshe swimsuits via Amazon Prime, you are FAR less likely to have any issues. Amazon customer support is really great about taking care of issues that arise from lost packages.

Additionally, if you order from the Cupshe site and have to make a return, they do not provide a prepaid shipping label.

The buyer is responsible for any return postage. Hence, why I only shop Cupshe via Amazon Prime.

Are Cupshe bathing suits good quality?

Cupshe offers TONS of bathing suits and quite honestly, I’ve had mostly great experiences with a few exceptions.

I would say as a whole, yes, Cupshe suits are good quality.

Are they all equally as well-made? no. Do they all fit the same? No – more on that below.

This is why I suggest shopping for Cupshe bathing suits via Amazon Prime.

If you don’t like a bathing suit, the fit is off, or the quality is terrible, you don’t have to worry about spending money to ship it back.

Where is Cupshe located?

As mentioned earlier, it seems as though Cupshe is a china-based brand with it’s main headquarters in China and warehouses throughout the US.

Is Cupshe ethical?

Another concern surrounding Cupshe is whether or not the company is ethical.

Again, because Cupshe is based overseas, it is quite difficult to be certain that they treat their employees fairly.

Are employees being paid enough? Are they working acceptable hours? I don’t 100% know the answer to this one.

Is Cupshe a Chinese company?

According to the BBB, Cupshe is based in China.

However, it seems as though they do have warehouses throughout the US and this is often where the US orders ship from.

I’ve received a few Cupshe orders right away and then there have been others that have taken weeks to arrive.

I presume the ones that take weeks to arrive are coming from overseas.

Is Cupshe Sizing Accurate?

How do Cupshe suits fit?

Unfortunately, Cupshe sizing seems to be all over the place.

Some bathing suits fit true to size, some are too small, and some are too big.

However, the most popular Cupshe bathing suits have hundreds, if not thousands of reviews on Amazon.

Another huge reason to shop Cupshe swimsuits via Amazon Prime.

Just be wary of reviews with ONLY positive reviews.

Yes, a bathing suit can be so amazing that it has 5-stars across the board, it’s just that it’s highly unlikely not ONE person will find a flaw.

Look for reviews that are in-depth and have actual meat to the content, not just 1 sentence.

Spam and fake reviews are happening more than we’d like to know.

Is Cupshe fake?

No, Cupshe is not fake. Cupshe is definitely a real company with real products.

It’s not a scam website that takes your money and then falls off the face of the earth.

What is the Cupshe return process like?

Cupshe.com returns can be made within 30 days of receiving your package.

However, Cupshe doesn’t cover return shipping fees. They are the responsibility of the buyer.

How are the Cupshe BBB Reviews?

The information for Cupshe on the BBB website doesn’t look good.

According to many reviewers, Cupshe has been taking orders and letting payments go through, yet they aren’t fulfilling those orders and people aren’t receiving what they paid for.

Other bad claims include invalid tracking numbers, poor quality clothes, and no refunds.

Again, another reason to shop Cupshe bathing suits via Amazon only.

Cupshe is not accredited by the BBB and they only have 3 out of 5 stars in terms of reviews.

Does Cupshe have a Student Discount?

One thing that the Cupshe website offers that I don’t see on Amazon is a student discount.

If you register with Student Beans to verify that you are a student, Cupshe gives you a 15% discount on orders over $60.

Cupshe Swimwear Shopping Tips

If you choose to shop Cupshe swimwear just be sure to keep these few tips in mind.

  1. Order from Amazon and make sure it ships Amazon Prime with FREE return shipping.
  2. Read reviews but be skeptical. Are the reviews in-depth or are they 1 sentence? Are they ALL positive? If you can’t find one negative review (there’s always one, right? lol) you might not be getting the honest truth. Unfortunately, there is such a thing as paid and fake reviews these days.
  3. Check the size chart for each swimsuit. They are not all the same.
  4. Opt for a bikini over a one-piece. Although I do have a long torso and have a hard time finding one-pieces that work for me, the sizing was still off across the board. I sent back all the one-pieces I ordered except for one. The bikini sizing is much more consistent.

Conclusion

Would I recommend Cupshe?

Yes, but to ensure a great shopping experience I highly suggest shopping the brand via Amazon Prime.

All of the swimsuits I received looked exactly as pictured, but the sizing was inconsistent and the quality was hit or miss.

Since the company is based overseas, coupled with the many negative reviews on the BBB website, and the many returns I’ve had to make, this is the only way I recommend shopping the brand.

Yes, Cupshe has great prices but when you’re shopping for pieces from a fast-fashion brand there is always the chance you could get low-quality or poor-fitting pieces.

The Amazon Prime return policy takes away the worry of having to pay return shipping if this ends up being the case when you order.

  1. I ordered from the direct site over a week ago. The money came out of my account (via paypal) but no acknowledgement that my order had been received or is to be sent out and don’t like my chances. So it would appear going through Amazon is the best way for next time.

  2. I will never order directly from Cupshe again. I placed an order in August and requested express shipping via FedEx. $278.00 of merchandise. FedEx never delivered the package and Cupshe basically told me it’s not their problem. They didn’t try reaching out to FedEx on my behalf, just nothing. Just $278 down the drain.

BTW I initially reached out to FedEx who stands by the drivers claim that my item was delivered.

    1. That’s horrible. Thats why i always order their suits through amazon. Im sorry that happened to you!
