Orlando World Center Marriott

Last month we had the pleasure of staying at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida. We stayed here last year and loved it so much we knew we had to go back. We visited during spring break (April 15-April 23) and had absolutely gorgeous weather every single day.

The Orlando World Center Marriott resort is not only beautiful but there is so much to do on premise. There are 3 pools – the main pool, private pool and kiddie pool. The main pool has a full restaurant/bar with chair service, tons of lounge chairs, cabanas and umbrellas. It also has jacuzzis and beautiful waterfalls in different sections of the pool.

The kiddie pool at the Orlando World Center Marriott also has full restaurant/bar service and is PERFECT for toddlers. It has a small slide, tons of water toys and an activity center with lego tables. There are plenty of lounge chairs/umbrellas/tables but if you have small children I do suggest getting there early so that you can get a lounge chair in the front. If you do this you won’t have to worry about them too much because you can see them no matter where they are in the pool.

There are also 3 slides if you’re a daredevil (totally NOT me). Two of them are 200-foot winding slides and the other is a 90-foot speed slide.

The Orlando World Center Marriott resort has HOURLY activities for the kids depending on their age. You can feed the fish/turtles, do water balloon tosses, etc. Our kids were just so happy in the kiddie pool that we hardly left the area on the days we were there.

There is also a “Mermaid Academy” where older girls get to put on mermaid tails and pretend like they’re mermaids. I wish G was fully able to swim on her own, she would have LOVED this!

We didn’t visit it this trip but there is also an arcade and video gaming room where kids can play with  Playstation, Wii, XBOX and Ipads.

If you enjoy traveling with your kids but still want some adult time then the Kids World is something I would definitely suggest!!! We couldn’t take advantage of it this year because Michael is still only 2 and not potty trained but as soon as he’s old enough they will definitely participate! It’s a drop-off program that offers full-day and half-day options for kids ages 4-12 where they engage in tons of fun activities! Kids play, adults get some quiet time – win, win!

TheOrlando World Center Marriott restaurants and food options at this resort are endless. We chose to do the buffet every morning out of sheer convenience as it opens early. Kids 3 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult buffet. The buffet has a ton of choices and yes, it even has healthy ones! My suggestion would be to get there by 830am if you plan on getting in and out. We got there pretty early every morning and had no wait but as we left there was usually a wait (around 9-930am).

If you’re interested in a fine dining experience I recommend Hawks Landing Restaurant. It is just steps outside the resorts main entrance and overlooks the Gold Course. They offer premium steaks, local seafood and vintage wines. While the restaurant claims to be casual I would have to disagree on that. We brought the kids and definitely felt like we probably should have stuck to the sports bar with them lol.

Although a bit too fancy with our toddlers I would definitely recommend if you are bringing older children! I got the roasted chicken with seasoned vegetables which is always my go-to. The steaks were WAY too big for me and I knew I wouldn’t bring leftovers back to the room. It was delicious!

The grounds of theOrlando World Center Marriott resort are SO pretty. Each walkway and path is beautifully landscaped and it is super clean.

Here’s a pic of the “quiet” pool. As you can see no one really seemed to want to be here lol. The big pool is the best!

If you like to run you’re in luck. TheOrlando World Center Marriott resort has a running track with markers letting you know how far along the path you currently are. I’m not a big distance runner but its definitely a plus for those that enjoy doing cardio outdoors.

TheOrlando World Center Marriott gym is pretty decent for a hotel. While they don’t have a squat rack they do have a smith machine, sets of dumbells up to 50lbs and plenty of cardio machines. The gym is available 24/7 as long as you have your room key.

We didn’t get many opportunities to get dressed and go out while away. We were mainly lounging at the pool with the kids or trekking through the parks all day but I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces that I did happen to wear.

I wore this dress to dinner one night at the Hibachi/Sushi restaurant Mizakado. It’s super light which was perfect for vacation since it was in the 80’s every day. Mizakado is casual and fun if you’re with a group of people or if you have kids in tow. Even though they’re young our kids enjoyed the fire at the table and since it’s casual I didn’t feel like we (aka our kids) were bothering others by being too loud.

I found this bathing suit on a whim one day. I ran into the store to get a birthday card and saw it on my way out. Its mix and match and each piece is $4.98 so I felt like it was an obvious purchase. It comes in 7 different colors and both the top AND bottoms are adjustable. I love wearing suits that tie around the neck when I’m with the kids since they are always tugging at my suit.  Tube top suits are adorable but lets be real, when you have 2 toddlers it’s not exactly the safe route to go (unless you like flashing people).

This dress is so comfortable. I’m allllll about the comfort 🙂 It’s also super lightweight and if you ask me, it’s the perfect dress to pack for vacation. You could wear it with flat sandals for a casual look or dress it up a bit with wedges like I did. It’s on sale here for under $42! You can also try the code SUNBURN for an extra 20$% or 30% off. The rest of the items pictured are linked below.

This bikini has been my go-to for 2 years now and it is my ALL TIME FAVORITE. It keeps you covered comfortably but isn’t frumpy. It still has some sex appeal with the strappy sides! The top and bottoms are separate and since there are so many colors in the bottoms it’s super easy to find a coordinating top. If you have kids I can assure you they are NOT going to be able to rip this off with a quick swipe LOL. You can find a similar pair of my sunglasses here.

Also, I don’t usually wear makeup to the beach or pool but this liquid lipstick dries fast and stays on all day without drying out your lips. The color I’m wearing is “yummy pink”!

I give the World center Marriott a 5 out of 5 stars! We’re already excited for our trip back there next year. If you’re thinking about booking a trip to Orlando I highly recommend keeping this resort on your list of possibilities.
