My top 5 Favorite Online Retailers
Over the last few years my shopping habits have changed drastically. Long gone are the days of hitting the mall until I couldn’t hold another bag. I use to go shopping every Sunday while the hubs would watch football. I literally can not even imagine that now with 2 toddlers.
Nowadays shopping online is pretty much the ONLY way I can shop. Attempting to try clothes on with two toddlers in tow isn’t exactly my idea of fun. It’s always a blast when I’m in the fitting room mid shirt change and my little guy flings the door open. Hellllooooo everybody!!!!! I don’t know how you people do it. Either my kids are just absolutely horrific or I am just a total spaz and can’t handle them in public. Either way – it’s not enjoyable for me lol.
SO! I’ve rounded up my top 5 favorite online retailers and I’m going to tell you WHY!
Nordstrom – I think when people hear Nordstrom they automatically assume designer brands and high price tags. This isn’t entirely true. While Nordstrom does carry high-end brands like Burberry, Chanel and Eileen Fisher it also carries more affordable options like BP., BlankNYC and Socialite. The hands-down BEST part about Nordstrom is that they offer free shipping and free return shipping with no minimums. This makes my life so much easier. The returns dept. here must think I am a complete lunatic for how much I return. They also have a great rewards program that offers 1 point for every dollar spent at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and HauteLook. During “bonus” days you earn double points. For every 2,000 points, you’ll get a $20 Nordstrom Note to spend on anything!
Note: If you open a Nordstrom credit card you receive 2 points per every dollar spent. Currently rewards members and cardholders are earning double points on any TopShop purchases now through March 9th!
Here are 3 things that are currently in my cart:
Lulu’s – Lulu’s is my go-to for trendy, flirty and affordable dresses and heels. While they have a TON of other super cute items these are my absolute favorite! If you ever have a wedding or a special event Lulu’s has you covered. There are always so many new arrivals and of-the-moment styles. They also offer free shipping on orders over $50 and free returns on ALL orders. You can also use code TAKE15 for $15 off all US orders over $150 PLUS free shipping! This dress below is currently on my wish-list.
Shoebuy.com – I’m always surprised when people tell me they’ve never heard of or shopped at Shoebuy. I have gotten so many great deals here! Recently I scored these Sorel Tofino II Boots (pictured below) for $78.
I used a promo code for a major discount and then used a $10 rewards code on top of that. I’ve seen these boots priced up to $170! Shoebuy almost always has some sort of promo code being offered. They have a rewards program where you earn 1 point for every $1 spent and a $10 reward for every 200 points earned. Not too bad considering you can use your rewards points in combination with other promo codes. If you sign up for their emails they’ll send you new promos every time they become available.
ShopBop – While the price points are definitely higher at ShopBop they do offer free returns and free shipping. I don’t like to spend a ton of money on things I may not get too much use out of but I do like to invest in some staple pieces every once in awhile. ShopBop is the place to do that. They offer free shipping and free returns so if you’re not satisfied with your purchase there is no penalty for sending it back. You”ll find brands such as Hunter, Paige, Michael Kors and so many others. They are currently having their “Buy more, save more Sale” where you can save up to 25% of your whole order. Here are some of their current top sellers.
Asos – In the UK Asos is the biggest online retailer offering over 850 brands. Chances are if you are looking for something and can’t find it elsewhere you just might find it here. I find that the sizing often runs a bit smaller but when you’re adding items to your cart there will be a US size in parentheses. They offer free shipping on all orders over $40 and orders under $40 is only $4 shipping. They also have whats called the “Asos Marketplace” where you can shop from their favorite local independent boutiques! I love boutique shopping but since I don’t actually get out much to shop I don’t get in them too often. This is a really cool way to boutique shop without having to leave your house (I sound like such a homebody! But really, it’s just because of the kids!)
While I’m not a student I find it really flippin’ amazing that they offer students 10% off all orders because who has money to splurge on extra clothes when they’re in school?!
So there you have it! These are my top 5 favorite online retailers. Who makes the cut in your top 5? I’m always looking for new places to shop so if you have any suggestions please drop them in a comment below!
